Early Tuesday morning a vehicle swerved into cyclists and pedestrians outside the Houses of Parliament. The suspect -29-year old male- is not known among counter-terrorism police, and he is not co-operating with officers. No one else was in the car at the time of the crash and no weapons were found.
Officials stated that because this incident appeared to be deliberate, it will be treated as a terrorist incident.
The government called for a Cobra emergency committee meeting where the prime minister has paid tributes to the “formidable courage” of the emergency services who protected the public.
